Infosys Foundation pledges Rs 1 Cr grant to support Reach to Teach Foundation

The Reach to Teach Foundation collaborates with the education departments of the Northeastern States of Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya to implement a Comprehensive School Transformation Programme (CSTP)

The Infosys Foundation, a not-for-profit initiative of Indian IT major, has pledged a single-year grant of nearly Rs. 1 crore for Reach to Teach Foundation to support its initiatives with the Education Department of the Government of Meghalaya.

“This is the beginning of a fruitful partnership aimed at creating systemic change and strengthening the education fabric of the State to bring children on par with children from other States and creating equal life chances for them. We appreciate the opportunity to work together to create public good,” said Ratna Viswanathan, Chair of the Board of Reach to Teach Foundation after the announcement.

Recognising the pivotal role of educators in shaping children’s learning experiences, the Reach to Teach Foundation works in the Northeastern States of Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya. The Foundation partners with the education departments of these three state governments to work consultatively with all stakeholders.

Its interventions cover Classes 1 to 12 in implementing a Comprehensive School Transformation Programme (CSTP), which aims to assess the learning loss across all grades and develop teaching and learning material aligned with learning outcomes to ensure grade appropriate learning.
